The fear of irrelevance

As entrepreneurs, when we cannot sense threat and lack capacity to adapt to change, our cause is forgotten. It dies. We become weak and, even worse, die with it.

Pastor Rick Warren shared pearls of wisdom that I feel every entrepreneur should to keep close to their heart. He said that we become irrelevant when the wind of change is faster on the outside than on the inside.

How are you picking this wind and its meta data?
How are you responding?

As the late Steve Jobs urged us: stay hungry, stay stupid.

On Purpose & Legacy

What do you know?

It's OK to fail. but it's not OK to fail & fail to get back up.

It's true that we are born with no clear brief of why we are on this particular planet - of Adam & the Eve, whose generations have to pay for a fruit they ate!

You could as well say that we were not consulted.

To grow up, crying, with stammers, being fed & spanked when we disappoint. To see ourselves grow up into school, meet strangers, fight some and kiss others, hate own parents & love other kids' parents, especially when we get bad grades or caught in a lie.

Life becomes worse when we love someone, few of them do not return & those you feel less about love you! Even scary, when you lose loved ones while new babies are born.
Death. This would need a whole new story.
But, Steve Jobs once said, "Death Is Very Likely The Single Best Invention Of Life."
It's a confusing life. I have come to learn that our purpose comes in realizing that we will not live forever on this earth. So, we have to plot our exit so meticulously, for those who care anyway or lucky to know, to live a legacy.

But wait! What is legacy? It is something of value transmitted from generation to generation.  Now we are to transmit this value. What is my value? Who would know this? Parents, friends or strangers?

God dimension
The Bible informs us that God is creator of heaven & earth, the universe & everything inside it.

It turns out, that we cannot figure out what is our use on this planet & yet we did not create our self. This may feel far-fetched but can a cow know what to do with a shoe? Would a shoe know what to do with itself?

This confusion makes us very vulnerable & opens us to a milliards of mistakes & failed attempts.

Well, this is another confusing thing but how can we know what is our purpose if we did not create ourselves? We can only know our purpose from our creator, God. Hmmm.

This may seem strange but only God can reveal his purpose for us. Will we listen to him? How do we listen to God? The Bible. Therein lies our purpose. So, stop wandering.
"It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men [& angels] as angels" - Mbuvi
Legacy is what we leave when we find our purpose & act on it.

Happy hunting for your purpose & while at it share those small pleasures on the road to greatness & legacy making. Therein lies courage & beauty.

What are you waiting for? Go find it. Find yourself.

New month, April.

Happy New month of April.

This is the Fool's Day but this alert ain't for any fool :-)

The resurrection of Christ from the dead is for real! He conquered our fear, doubts, debt, failures & all things that paralyze my faith in Him.
His rising freed me from shame & re-energized mankind with new hope, love & identity because he knows where I am.

Praise God!

On Faith: Easter

"Jesus Christ left the tomb empty to fill our empty hearts." - Rick Warren.

Wow, He is risen!

How many of us would get nails from Jesus Christ hands or die & resurrect to soothe/give hope to mankind?
Such a selfless savior.
Let's internalize Jesus' overflowing love & share this new treasure he has freely given us with our family, friends & strangers.
What would we feel if our loved one resurrected? Would we feel scared or glad to see them? How would they feel about us, while they were gone?
I believe there should be a difference.

A blessed Easter celebration to you & yours.

On Faith: Holy Friday

Today is Holy [sacred] Friday.

What I love about Jesus Christ is the fact that he was/is not a coward: to love, defend his conviction, hide his relationship -  with the father, mother, prostitute, foreigner, tax collector [wall street guy], carrying the cross [because of my sins - injustice, hate, corruption et al], hanging on a tree with nails & resurrection.

Let our relationship mold us to be as a humble, loyal, honest, courageous & knowledgeable being as him.

Tough but, through him, all things are possible.

A toast to my savior for a glorious finish! Such a SLICK guy & King.

A blessed Holy Friday.
